A Reminder For Our Times
Calmness is a human superpower. The ability to not overreact or take things personally keeps your mind clear and your heart at peace which gradually gives you the upper hand in all walks of life

While the sunny days continue down here at the beach in Santa Monica, the coastal fog is coming in during the early morning hours. Slowly
I have been running Women’s Circles for about 16 years. These circles are a place where you can truly be yourself. A safe sanctuary where accomplished women can pause, connect, reflect and grow. The world we live in has us moving faster and faster and we miss out on deep connection and reflection.

You are invited to Reflection 2025!
What is holding you back for the stars today?
What if you could see beyond what is apparent, to what is possible?
Join me in taking that next steps to see what’s around the corner with a sense of anticipation and joy. The whole idea of living in faith is to live in anticipation.

With the last gasps of summer holding on, we step into this new season with the noise of the world can feel overwhelming pulling us in countless directions. It’s easy to get lost in the chaos, but this season invites us to pause and move into a more reflective time questioning your values and concerns in more profound rhythms of life.

It’s Summer and hopefully you are rejoicing in the official start of the Summer. “The green will never / again be so green, so purely and lushly / new,” as the poet Marge Percy has put it. That alone, the brand-newness of the season, the brand-newness of who you or I might be this time around to consider how you might be different, to consider whom or what you might want to be.

I got to thinking about what true freedom is as we stay focused on our dreams, wants and desires and, of course, our health. Who of us is aiming to be a hero/heroine and really fight for our beliefs?
It’s something to consider.
I took this paragraph from the New Yorker with the loss of Alexey Navalny.

In a world that often seeks easy rides and immediate gratification, we must learn the beauty of effort and patience. Be strong, present, and steadfast. Remember, life doesn’t always give you the circumstances and people you want; it gives you the circumstances and people you need… to learn, to grow, and to move forward.

Life is not about trying to be perfect. It is about knowing who you are and applying yourself to do your best. That way, you naturally maximize yourself.
You want to spend your time and place your focus on presenting yourself authentically and operating at your highest possible level. You don’t want to compare yourself to others and wish you were…

Rest is not a sign of giving in or being lazy. Quality rest makes a valuable contribution to your body, to your mind and definitely to your soul. Now more than ever, as stress and anxiety levels rise on our planet, moments of quality rest throughout our day are essential for the prevention of exhaustion, fatigue and confusion.

Talk like you are blessed. Walk like you are blessed Think like you are blessed. Work like you are blessed. And you will be.
It’s often our own thinking that hurts us the most. There’s no reason to imprison yourself. Don’t think outside the box. Think like there is no box.

When we begin to acknowledge that change is inevitable and natural, then it becomes easier to release any grasp we may have on people, circumstances or past beliefs which hold us back or limit our ability to create desired changes.
The choice to change and the ability to live fully in the midst of life’s changes are directly related to our thinking and our imagination, and none of us are ever permanently locked into any pattern of thinking or feeling.

As I approach my birthday I can honestly say that I look forward to the possibilities ahead. I have grown comfortable with myself and where I have landed. Feeling strong, grounded, healthy and more peaceful. I no longer sweat the small stuff and do my best on the big issues to make decisions from a higher state of consciousness on a regular basis.

I don’t have to tell you that we are living in stressful times. We know that stress directly interferes with our performance and our ability to enjoy our lives. It also has very real consequences for our health, with stress levels, for example, contributing directly to increases in cortisol, which in turn contributes to different diseases and accelerates aging. That’s something we have no interest in accelerating.
Here are some points that can help you counteract this in your life:

It’s interesting how we have to be intentional about practicing grace and gratitude, but stress, busyness and frustration are second nature.
We are pros at reacting to all the things life throws at us, drilling through our never-ending to-do lists, skipping lunch, sacrificing sleep and taking care of ourselves in the pursuit of more. But more of what? And to what end?
What would happen if grace and gratitude came first?
What if we felt …
